Let's wear BLUE to bring autism awareness to the world on April 2nd. You can be at any place in the world and still participate in this event just by wearing blue, NY is just the head quarters of autism speaks.. Autism is the fastest-growing development disability. It affects 1 in 68 children. 3.5 million adults live with the autism spectrum disorder. ASDs are any developmental disabilities that have been caused by a brain abnormality. A person with an ASD typically has difficulty with social and communication skills. The Autism Spectrum is so broad that at times is hard to diagnose.  April is the National Autism Awareness month.. Let's continue wearing blue for that Father, Mother, Siblings and families who have their loved one on the spectrum just like I do. Thank you all for participating.

    Supporting this means you're supporting the good people who care for those with ID and DD. Know someone who works with this population? Take a moment to think about how much effort goes into working with such an important population. Maybe even thank them -- it'll likely make them want to do even better at their job!!!
